How ETS Works

Technology should solve a business problem.

Technology decisions should start with the business, not with a product list.

Evans Technology Solutions works through processes designed to understand what you actually need, determine what should change, and build technology that remains understandable and maintainable after the work is complete.

The ETS Approach

Understand first. Build deliberately.

Every engagement starts with the business problem and works toward a solution that fits the environment, the priorities, and the budget.

01

Discover

Understand what is happening before deciding what to change.

ETS looks at the business problem, existing environment, requirements, constraints, risks, and what actually needs to change.

02

Plan

Define a practical path forward.

Scope, requirements, cost, timing, security, maintainability, dependencies, and future needs are considered before implementation begins.

03

Build

Implement the agreed solution properly.

Depending on the engagement, this may include infrastructure, networking, security, automation, migrations, upgrades, deployments, or focused technical work.

04

Manage

Keep the environment understandable and maintainable.

Documentation, handoff, ongoing support, maintenance, and future improvements are considered where appropriate to the engagement.

The result

Technology that stays useful.

Good technology should make the business easier to operate, not create another layer of complexity to manage.

ETS focuses on solutions that can be understood, maintained, secured, and adapted as the business changes.

LEVELS OF ENGAGEMENT

What kind of engagement should you expect?

Not every business has the same technology needs, and not every problem requires the same type of engagement.

ETS can work with businesses through several types of engagements.

Focused technical work

  • Some problems have a clearly defined scope and outcome.
  • These may include a specific upgrade, deployment, migration, troubleshooting effort, network change, security improvement, automation project, or other technical task.
  • The engagement can remain focused on completing that defined outcome.

Project work

  • Larger technical needs may require more discovery, planning, implementation, testing, and documentation.
  • Projects can involve multiple systems or technologies and may require coordination around business operations and scheduling.
  • The scope is established before implementation so the business understands what is being addressed.

Ongoing technology support

  • Ongoing support may include technology management, maintenance, troubleshooting, improvement, planning, and technical guidance.
  • The appropriate level of ongoing involvement depends on the environment and what the business actually needs.
  • ETS does not assume every business needs a traditional full-service MSP relationship.

Project first, ongoing support later

  • An engagement may also begin as a specific project and develop into an ongoing relationship.
  • For example, a business may first need an infrastructure, networking, security, or migration project before determining whether continuing management or support would provide additional value.
  • The relationship can evolve based on the actual needs of the business.

Looking For Help?

ETS can help understand the problem.

If something is unreliable, difficult to manage, becoming outdated, creating unnecessary work, or simply not supporting the business the way it should, that's enough to start a conversation.
